Unknown Hero
Stephen Siller could’ve just driven home to spend his day off playing golf with his brothers on that fateful day of September 11th 2001. Instead he drove his truck around as soon as he heard that a plane struck the first tower but as just as soon as he reached the Manhattan tunnel, traffic was already neck to neck. So in his hurry he strapped on 75 pounds of firefighter equipment on his back and abandoned his truck to save as much people as he could from the flames of the World Trade Center.
Stephen Siller died that day trying to save lives. A husband, a father of five, a firefighter and a hero.
Heroes are borne everyday. May it be in great or small actions. Most people just fail to notice.
